Dry Needling

In general, the treatment made by inserting the needles used in acupuncture treatment into the trigger points in muscle and connective tissues and stretched bands is called dry needling treatment. The expression of dry is due to the fact that no drugs such as steroids, local anaesthetics, mesotherapy products are given to the body. It is often used in painful cases of the musculoskeletal system.

Mostly, trigger points are related to neuromuscular junctions, and stimulating these areas with a needle causes too much information to enter the central nervous system, which causes the closure of painful stimulus inputs to the central nervous system, that is, to the brain and spinal cord. The most important point here is that these disorders, which are defined as fibrotic tissue, mimic the herniated disc and nerve compression, which are much more serious conditions, and can be treated simply with dry needle, which is almost without side effects.
